Things most agents won't tell you

  • The 'sticker price' is rarely what strong students pay — assistantships, fee waivers, and merit aid change the maths. We model funded vs unfunded scenarios before you apply.

  • STEM-designated programs (the 3-year OPT) aren't only CS and engineering — many analytics, economics, and even design programs carry the STEM CIP code. Always check the code, not the course name.

  • Standardised tests are back in flux — some universities are test-optional, others reinstated GRE/SAT. The right test strategy depends on the exact shortlist.

  • Interview preparation matters more for the US than anywhere else. Most rejections I see come from a weak 'intent' and funding story, not academics.
