IELTS Score Calculator
Two calculators in one: your overall band from the four skill scores (with the official rounding rules), and the approximate band your raw Listening or Reading marks convert to.
Rounded to the nearest half band (.25 and .75 round up)
Listening and Reading each have 40 questions. Enter your practice-test marks out of 40 to see the approximate band. Boundaries shift by a mark between test versions — treat these as close estimates, not guarantees.

Your overall band is the average of the four skill bands, rounded to the nearest half band. Averages ending in .25 round up to the next half band, and .75 rounds up to the next whole band — so Listening 6.5, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.5 averages 6.375 and reports as 6.5.
Listening and Reading are marked out of 40 raw questions and converted to bands; Writing and Speaking are assessed directly by examiners against band descriptors. Conversion boundaries shift slightly between test versions, so treat raw-mark conversions as close estimates.
