From Siliguri to the World: Students We've Placed and the Careers They're Building

The most useful thing a study-abroad counselor can show you isn't a ranking table — it's the students they've actually placed, and where those students ended up. So here are some of ours, from right here in North Bengal, by the field they chose.

Engineering and technology

Anirudha Goswami went from Siliguri to a Master of Professional Engineering at Curtin University in Australia, on a 25% scholarship. Karan Pradhan is on a Bachelor of Software Engineering, with distinction, at RMIT in Melbourne. Abhishek Chhetri took an MA in Games Design at Teesside University in the UK — proof that "tech" abroad is far wider than computer science.

Business, finance and management

Ayush Garg is doing an MSc in Finance & Management at the University of Glasgow. Harsh Mittal made it into a Master's at the London School of Economics — one of the toughest admits anywhere (read his full story). Krishna Gupta moved into an MBA at James Cook University in Singapore, a world-ranked degree just a few hours' flight from home. Anmol Agarwal is reading for an MSc in Accounting at King's College London.

Healthcare, hospitality and the creative fields

Shreya Pradhan is training as a nurse at Queensland University of Technology in Australia — nursing remains one of the strongest career bets abroad. Beenam Sherpa went into hotel and resort operations at Georgian College in Canada, and Sangam Dhungana into international hospitality and event management at Middlesex University. Khyati Mittal is studying International Fashion Business at Polimoda in Italy. Nabanita Chakraborty is doing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Essex.

That's engineering, software, games design, finance, management, accounting, nursing, hospitality, fashion and public policy — from one practice, in one city. The full set of recent admits and student outcomes lives here.

Why this matters more than a brochure

Two things stand out across these students.

First, the spread of fields. Families sometimes assume study abroad means engineering or an MBA. It doesn't. We've placed students into forensic psychology, games design, nursing and fashion business — because the right move is the one that fits the student, not the one that fits a template.

Second, the spread of destinations. The UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Italy — each chosen for a reason that fit that student's goal. If you're weighing your own options, our destination guides lay out who each country actually suits.

Hear it in their own words

We also run the Global Thinkers Podcast, where students talk through their journeys unscripted — choosing forensic psychology over NEET, getting from NMIMS to LSE, studying fintech in London, life as an Indian design student in Australia, the route from NIFT to Polimoda in Italy. If you want a real picture of what these decisions feel like from the inside, start there.

Your story is the next one

Behind every one of these names was a first conversation that often started with the same worry you might have right now. If you'd like to talk through where your child could realistically go — and into which field — come and see us. We've been guiding North Bengal families through exactly this for over a decade.
